Dentistry Through Children’s Eyes: An Excursion for Children’s Day

Ahead of Children’s Day, Atmosfera Clinic hosted a special tour for third-grade students from the ORT “B. Z. Herzl” Technological Lyceum.

We were delighted to open our doors and give our young guests a behind-the-scenes look at modern dentistry. During the visit, the children met our dental professionals, explored treatment rooms, saw advanced equipment, and learned how dental care is provided for both adults and children.

One of the highlights of the tour was the radiology department. We explained the role of diagnostic imaging in dentistry and demonstrated how dental radiographic equipment is used in everyday practice.

To make the experience both educational and engaging, the students had the opportunity to feel like part of the dental team. Under the supervision of an experienced dentist and dental assistant, they took part in a professional dental cleaning procedure and experienced what it is like to assist during treatment.

The children also learned about treatment under general anesthesia and how modern technologies help make dental care safe, comfortable, and accessible even for the youngest patients.

It was especially rewarding to see their curiosity, enthusiasm, and eagerness to learn. The students asked thoughtful questions and discovered dentistry from a completely new perspective. For many of them, this visit offered an opportunity to experience a dental clinic beyond the usual patient visit.

We believe that initiatives like these help children feel more confident, understand the importance of oral health, and overcome fears associated with visiting the dentist.
